Mark your calendars with all the 2008 NPHC show dates but make sure to pay particular attention to the last week in August.  We start out the weekend with the State Fair on Thursday August 28th, then comes the 5 Star Multi Breed Futurity on Saturday August 30 and the Nebraska Paint Horse Club POR and Open Futurity on August 31st and September 1st.  If you're showing futurities don't miss this weekend.  Quarter Horses of Nebraska (QHAN) are having a show the same weekend.  Check their website for details.  The entire weekend including the NPHC POR and Open Futurity, the 5 Star Multi Breed Futurity and the Nebraska Quarter Horse Show will be held at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln Nebraska.  The State Fair show will be at the Fairgrounds.

The NPHC Open Futurity details are posted on this site.  Check the Futurity Page.  It will be held in conjunction with our Labor Day Weekend POR.

Don't forget to contact Lori Blatter and let her know what items you will be bringing for the silent auction to be held at the first show in April! All funds go to increase the year end high point awards!  Help support your club , increase award values, and have some fun at the same time!  Items will be displayed beginning Saturday morning and auction will end at 2 pm on Sunday afternoon.  Call Lori as soon as possible at 402-366-4521 or email her at kmkpaints@mainstaycomm.net and let her know what items you will be donating.

Help us in our effort to make the Nebraska Paint Horse Club an APHA "Club of Distinction" this year.  We were in the honorable mention category last year but we need to step it up this year.  You can help by bringing food to our Labor Day POR for our food drive campaign.  Community Service is part of the program.  Click here for details

The Nebraska Paint Horse Club realizes there are many American Paint Horse owners who do not choose to exhibit their horse in the show-ring. But rather, they enjoy their American paint horses out in the open spaces either alone or with others.  The Nebraska Paint Horse Club has put together a program to recognize those Paint Horse owners along with their showing counterparts.

                                                                        As APHA has put it,
"Few things in life can rejuvenate the soul like a leisurely horseback ride on your American Paint Horse"

Whether we are competing in the show-ring, or riding out on the trails, we all have a common bond. The love for the American Paint Horse. In recognizing changing demographics and changing uses for Paint Horses, the Nebraska Paint Horse Club  has come up with a program that works like the APHA Ride America Program, so that you may also be rewarded at the state level for your logged hours. We are in hopes that by offering this program,  we may bring together all Paint Horses Owners and show the true versatility of the breed.

The rules are much the same, with only a few extra requirements,  and are as follows:

1.    Be a current paid member of  NPHC (Or NjPHC if applicable)
